February 20, 2010Writing again...
Trying to write some more now - will be back to chronicling in the writing blog, though I do think I may take a different direction with that slightly. Want to create an outlet for me to talk about writing, along with a small journal about what I am doing. I figure that I will merge those parts in and most likely link them in here at some point (perhaps on the next go-round of site cleanup).

Quite an enjoyable book overall. The history of punctuation and grammar and the delight in its proper usage both make this book a very humorous and yet valuable reference. One or two of the examples in the book struck a chord as being either inappropriate or not geared towards an American audience, which I found odd in that while much of the grammar rules took into account differences in American and British grammar, the content's appropriateness did not.

Finished Reading: Behind the Bell by Dustin DiamondWhile in need of some copy-editing to remove the typos and paragraphs that repeat mid-page, Dustin Diamond's retrospective into the world behind the television show Saved By The Bell is an interesting look at the world of child stars and how their world works. Filled with an apropos amount of scandal, innuendo, and self-evaluation, the book provides more than anything a look at Diamond's feelings towards his co-stars on the long-running television series.

Finished Reading: The Poet by Michael Connelly
As per many of Michael Connelly's books, this book has a dark villain and a generally heavy and macabre feel to it, but once you get on the downhill slide, it is a quick and exciting journey to the finish, trying to identify the killer known as The Poet. I enjoy most of Connelly's books, and this one is no exception.
